Accurate measurement of up to 5 microbiological characteristics with one kit.

Cellular ATP (cATP™) measures ATP from living microorganisms; a direct indication of the living population. Biomass Stress Index (BSI™) measures the stress level experienced by the microbiological population. Active Biomass Ratio (ABR™) measures the percentage of bioreactor solids that are active microorganisms. Attached Growth ATP (agATP™) measures living microorganisms on attached media. Floc Bulking ATP (fbATP™) quantifies the relative proportion of bulking floc in settling processes.

Once target thresholds for cATP are established, cATP results provide a basis for operational stability, optimization, and continuous improvement of a wastewater treatment process. BSI provides an early warning of impending process problems and stressful conditions (i.e. toxicity). Maximizing the ABR provides many benefits such as enhanced sludge quality and improved settling.

QG21Wa provides you with two additional options depending on your process. Use the agATP method to quantify biomass attached to surfaces such as in trickling filters, biological contactors, moving bed reactors and anaerobic blanket bioreactors. Use the fbATP method to gain the earliest possible warning of floc bulking in settling processes such as activated sludge. These parameters enable you to minimize remediation costs and prevent process upsets!

Included in the kit are instructions for interpretation of the test results, allowing rapid and accurate decision-making.
